• National Pickle Day… a more light-hearted food-themed day.

It’s also National Family PJ Day so today I’m pickling onions in my PJ’s 🤣🧅

🧅 Ingredients

• Pickling onions (or small shallots) – about 1kg

• Salt – plenty, for brining

• Vinegar – malt vinegar is classic, but cider or white vinegar also works

• Sugar – optional, depends how sweet you like your pickles

Mincemeat Crumble Bars

Today I made mincemeat from raw ingredients for this recipe

You can use a jar of ready to use mincemeat. I doubled the quantities to get that many jars made.
