How I Connect with You ❤️

One of the greatest joys of doing this show is hearing from you — your texts, messages, and stories bring it all to life. Whether you’re sharing a song request, a joke, or a moment from your day, I love that you feel part of the community we’ve built together.

I love the community we are building and how we feel like we know each other. That’s what this radio show is here for. But to keep this space safe, kind, and healthy for everyone (including me), I follow a few gentle guidelines in how I respond to messages.

💬 

1. I reply as a presenter

Every reply I send is part of the show — not a personal conversation. Even though I may respond directly, it’s always with the wider audience in mind. I only look at messages when the show is on. 

 

2. I won’t get into ongoing or private chats.

If you message often, you might not always get a reply — and if your messages become very personal or emotional, I may not respond at all. That’s not because I don’t care — it’s because I’m not a counsellor, and I want to make sure you’re safe and supported in the right way.

 

3. I can’t offer advice.

I’ll always read your messages with kindness. But I can’t offer advice about mental health, relationships, or personal problems. If you’re struggling, please know there are wonderful people who can help — like Mind, Samaritans (116 123), or your GP.

 

4. Affectionate Language Is Part of the Show — Not Personal

Now and then, you might hear me say things like “love you babes” — it’s all part of the fun, the energy, and the spirit of the show.

These kinds of phrases are meant in a light-hearted, friendly way — to make everyone feel included and uplifted.
They’re not meant as personal or romantic messages, even if they sound warm. I use them with love for all of you, as part of the wider show community.

 

5. I won’t meet up or message privately.

I don’t meet listeners in person or reply to private messages outside of the show. This keeps things safe, fair, and respectful for us all  — including me, and make sure that the show remains a safe and respectful space for all.
